Prone to Cellphone Mishaps? Coverage is Available from Asurion
In our household I am responsible for our cell phone bill. I review the contract, sign the bill and maintain the phones. This is the most stressful thing I manage at home for the following reason… I married a mechanic. Now when you think mechanics, most people would jump to the conclusion that nothing would ever break, but let me reassure you that when it comes to cell phones he’s a mess.
Example. Cell phone number one was dropped and shattered on the shop floor. Phone number two received some massive screen scratches and cracks rendering it virtually unusable because it was a touch phone. Phone number three’s life ended upon drowning in a solvent tank at work. Needless to say he virtually destroys every handheld piece of phone goodness he touches.
When we discussed getting new phones I immediately knew which smart phone I would be getting and sure enough he had to have the same one. I cringed because I knew that in no time it would be destroyed and I would be begging my cell phone company for a replacement phone. He reassured me that this time everything will be fine and the phone will not be in his pocket while working on cars. Can you guess what happened next?

Drowning Phone – one of the many mishaps that’s happened to my husband. Asurion may be the answer.
Incident number one with this new phone; while snowmobiling my husband decided to snap some photos of the beautiful scenery and sure enough it fell out of his hands and into the white abyss. Luckily he was able to find the phone but every water sensor was brightly showing it was wet. This caused a problem with his speaker resulting in only his earphone attachment to work instead of his phone speaker. He was so upset that he almost threw the phone when he found it not working. After some long research online I found some remedies and voile it was fixed.
Incident number two; my husband loves to play music on his phone when working around the house. In order to hear the music he has the volume all the way up. Guess what happened this time! The speaker blew on the receiver. The phone still works but it sounds like your miles away.
Our cell phone insurance doesn’t cover any of this type of damage so my husband is stuck with the phone he has until our next upgrade. At that time I will totally be looking into purchasing Asurion insurance for our phones so I can stop dealing with the dead phones and relax knowing everything is covered. As for my husband, I love him dearly and I don’t hold it against him.

I dropped my cellphone on the subway tracks once
So far, I haven’t had much damage to my cellphone except my kids keep dropping it.
mostly i lost my phone a lot, left it at a movie theater last time, I often lose it for days. I have dropped it before but haven’t broken it (yet)
Last summer, my son has our cellphone in his front pocket. He went out to check the pool temp, and yep….the phone fell right in. The deep end of course. By the time he dove down and got it out…it was too late and the phone would not work anymore.
My husband is a carpenter he dropped his off of a 2 story house right onto the pavement below!
