Big Brother 14 SPOILERS – Premiere Night Recap

OK, so I won’t do a recap every night, but I just finished watching the premiere of Big Brother and I have to say, they pulled off a surprise! Maybe they purposely leaked who the returning people would be to throw us off the track of what they were really doing.
This year for the first time ever, someone was evicted on premiere night! And the HOH competition was actually fun to watch! The coaches did a playground picking of players and the last one chosen was Jodi, the only African American player and the oldest at 42. After teams were picked they competed with the winning team coach picking the HOH and the loser sending home the first player.
Brit’s team won and she picked Willie (what’s up with all the Will’s this year?!?) who’s been called out by several players as being related to Survivor jerk Russel Hantz. They’re right, they’re brothers. Dan’s team lost and he chose Jodi to go home. So, the only minority left in the house is the Puerto Rican lesbian rocker. This is the most non-culturally diverse cast in years. It’s kind of disheartening.
The preview for next week’s says another twist is coming and I’m thrilled. So many years of promising and not delivering on the “Expect the Unexpected.” Here’s hoping this year they live up to it.

We have watched every season. We’re a little addicted! I’m so glad Janelle is back on!
Janelle was quite the sloppy drunk last night….she was giving up a lot of secrets. I can’t help myself – it’s just too fun.
I’m a huge BB fan, I actually started watching during season 10 which was the season of the Renegades (Dan and Memphis). I’ll definitely be pulling for Dan, and still remember the old timer Jerry calling him Judas and some how Dan still pulled off the win that season, despite the target on his back from early on. With that said it seems like Brittany and Boogie have the stronger players, but I have a feeling Willie will be sent packing sooner rather than later. I think all the vets except Britt, have caught on to the fact he is related to Russell and even some of the newbies have. Great way to throw a spin at us all by sending someone home opening night, I guess that was to make up for the fact the vets and the mentor idea was leaked out awhile ago and Evil Dick even named the returning house guests.
I’m watching the feeds and it’s pretty freaking intense already this year.

My kids are too – it makes for some great conversations with them….ie., what NOT to do
I actually LOVED last nights show. I really like Willie, the nerdy guy, the guy who has prettier hair than me, the chick from staten island, and of course the vest. I was thrilled to see them come in. I think Brittany has the best team or maybe Boogie.
The house is already divided and it’s only week one – this could be a great year
