Neighborhood Pest Control is a Great Excuse to Have a Party! @AMDROassistance
It was a busy weekend around here! We took advantage of an unexpected clearing of the unseasonably wet and cold weather here in Seattle to get some outdoor work done. One of those tasks was to finally take action against the ant invasion currently going on here. The cooler weather has got these tiny buggers finding their way into our homes in search of food and while I’m a vegetarian and against killing animals, all bets are off when they invade my space.
We got together and treated the area around my mother and sister’s homes. Why? Because if you only treat one house the ants will make their way to the other, so do your neighbors a favor and let them know you’ll be treating so they can as well. Or better yet, do like we did and make a party out of it! We feasted on Soy Garlic Flanksteak and BBQ chicken with my mom’s infamous homemade potato salad, baked beans, and green salad.
After dinner we took a few minutes to sprinkle the AMDRO® Ant Block® Home Perimeter Ant Bait around the perimeter of both homes. The granules are easy to distribute and they work by mimicking food so the worker ants take them back to the ant mount where they eventually destroy the colony including the queen. AMDRO® Ant Block® works on 15 different ant species and kills 50% more than their competitor Spectracide® Ant Shield® Home Barrier Granules.
I always recommend using green and alternative products first, but if you can’t get these little buggers to go packing, get out the big guns and use AMDRO® Ant Block® Home Perimeter Ant Bait. AMDRO® makes other products for interior and exterior pests and insect infestations – visit their website for the full list.
