Quotation: Oprah Winfrey – “Be Thankful For What You Have” Quote

I happen to think Oprah Winfrey is one of the more enlightened celebrities. Sure, she’s got billions, but she does for others and she reminds us to live a life of purpose. I happen to think living purposefully is the only way to live and it doesn’t mean you have to be extravagant. It just means you have to live knowing that you are not alone in this life and that it’s not all about you. It’s about remembering to help others and ultimately it’s us who are rewarded.

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you’ll never, ever have enough.” – Oprah Winfrey

Say what you will about her, but I think Oprah‘s improved my world and for that I’m thankful. This is one of my favorite Oprah quotes and one I try to remember when the green eye of the envy monster starts to creep up and I’m reminded to stop, count my blessings, and graciously acknowledge others’ accomplishments.
