Chef Boyardee Almost Homemade MAKE IT BOYARDEELICIOUS Recipe Contest

Get information or enter the Chef Boyardee Make it BoyarDeelicious! Recipe ContestIf you’re a fan of almost homemade meals, then Chef  Boyardee has a fabulous contest for you!  Now through 3/11/12, you can enter your original recipe using at least one Chef Boyardee product on the official Chef Boyardee Facebook page.  If your recipe is chosen as the sweepstakes winner, you’ll win groceries for a year – that’s approximately a $5,200 prize!  There are also weekly prizes for $500 in cash plus $75 in coupons to restock your pantry with more Chef Boyardee products (please see the official rules for all the details).

Time is ticking though so get your recipe together, take a great photo of it, and upload it today so you’ll be in the running!  And to get your ideas flowing, check out the Chef Boyardee’s website for some chef-created recipe ideas.  They also asked me to come up with my own original recipe but unfortunately I’m a vegetarian and most of their products are not, so I was limited on ingredients. I did find their pizza kit and boy did it bring back memories!  As a kid this is how we made pizza – there weren’t pizza joints that delivered back then.  When my husband saw the box he told me his family did the same thing!

By the way, did you know there was really a Chef Boyardee? There was!  Check out this really cool NPR story on the man behind the name and his family.  Listen to The Man, The Can: Recipes Of The Real Chef Boyardee : NPR

Here’s our final recipe, a  Rustic Chef Boyardee Vegetarian Sausage Pizza and while you’re here,  hop over to our Rafflecopter widget and enter to win some great Chef Boyardee loot from us!
