Jellied Cranberry Sauce - Image by Old Shoe Woman via Flickr
My family always did the canned cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving – we didn’t know any better. Even funnier, we just opened the can, plopped it on a plate, and if we were feeling fancy, we sliced it (that might have also been our way of rationing it – we usually only got one can). Things have changed and in my household we like fresh cranberries without the jelly. Homemade cranberry sauce is so easy to make, can be made in so many variations, and is simple so delicious you’ll start making it year round for chicken and pork dishes instead of just enjoying it once a year on holidays.
These are some of the most unique cranberry recipes we could find on the web and we’ll be switching up our recipe to include some of these alternatives.
