Dr. Dennis Godby, ND, his two sons, and nephew will run across North America beginning July 17, 2011 to highlight the benefits of natural medicine. This is the second time Dr. Godby has made this journey. His hope is that it will educate and empower American’s about the natural health care options available to them in preventing disease and in finding and treating the causes of illness. Additionally, the campaign will highlight information about quality holistic health care options and help to educate Americans about a healthy lifestyle management and health maintenance.
In their 4-month, 90-city journey, the team hopes to introduce the concept of naturopathic medicine and make it a household term. They also hope to encourage more comprehensive insurance coverage for these alternative primary care choices.
I’m happy to help support their cause as I believe in natural and homeopathic care and have enjoyed acupuncture and acupressure with great results. Getting back in tune with nature and looking for the underlying cause, and not just treating the symptoms, is one of the principals of Naturopathic Medicine. I love the holistic approach and hope others will gain from checking into alternative methods of preventing disease with naturopathic care.
