Review: Minnie and Me Personalize Children’s Book
I love books and I shared my love with my boys who’ve grown up to be avid readers, too. So when Personally Yours Books offered me a free personalized children’s story book, I decided it send it to my favorite little 4-year old reviewer, Angelina. The book I picked was “Minnie & Me” because Angelina and I met at Walt Disney World, so it was perfect.
I needed to supply a bit of information: Child’s first, middle and last name; Age; Gender; Hometown (city & state); Names of 3 friends or relatives; Name of person giving the gift; Date of Gift; and (Optional): Information for a book dedication. Once supplied with the personalization information, Personally Yours Books printed up the cutest little picture book made especially for my little friend and they mailed it directly to her.
The website is very helpful and you won’t have to worry about the book’s content because you can read the story before you choose it. You can also see where the personalization is going to go so you can make sure your choices are appropriate for the story. There are books for the very young and school age and include some of kids’ favorite characters like Sesame Street and Superman and they offer non-branded stories as well.
My book had an error, my name was misspelled, so be sure to proofread your typing well before sending. They do print exactly what you type.

Angelina was so surprised when she heard her name in the story! Actually, she didn’t believe me at first and made me point out her name as proof. Once she realized that the story was really about HER, she was so attentive, waiting for the next “mention” and each one was followed by a huge smile or giggle. You can imagine how delighted she was when she heard her closest friends names too! As soon as the next play date rolled around, she proudly showed off her new book to all her friends that made appearances in Minnie n Me!

Personally Yours Books also prints personalized kids’ music CDs and DVDs, and customized wall art – both for children and for the home.
