I love chocolate, there’s no big surprise there, but I think part of the reason is that I loved the book, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory“. It was one of my favorite books as a child and I read it several times.  I loved the magic of finding a new life tucked beneath the beauty of a simple bar of chocolate.  And so when they started making Wonka candy back when my kids were little, I introduced them to the story and then the movies, renamed to “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” as well.

I don’t think I’ve ever grown up, and don’t plan to, and still cling to the fantasies of my childhood – to slurp from a chocolate river with a mixing waterfall is still a dream, and since no one has ever brought Roald Dahl‘s creation to life, I’ll have to satisfy my dreams with some Wonka bars.  And they’ve got some new ones that look delicious!  They’ve added two new flavors to the Wonka Exceptionals line and they have very Wonka-ish names like Fantabulous Fudge (milk chocolate that’s stuffed with fudge – like a truffle bar!).  And there’s the Triple Dazzle Caramel which is a milk chocolate filled with caramel and dazzled with a bit of sea salt.

These two new Wonka Exceptionals join the Chocolate Waterfall (milk and white chocolate cascading together in perfect harmony) and the Scrumdiddlyumptious which marries chunks of toffee, crispies, and peanuts and they’re all drowned in rich milk chocolate.  OK, if reading about Wonka Exceptionals candy doesn’t make you start searching the cupboard for a treat, then you’re not a chocoholic like me!  Sadly, my cupboard is empty, but Wonka’s going to fill up one of your cabinets with 4-bars or bags of each of the 4 Wonka Exceptionals chocolate flavors!  That’s 16 bags or bars of deliciousness and almost $50 of chocolate!  Yes, I’m jealous
