Dream Essentials Escape Travel Sleep Mask Review

Dream Essentials - Simply products to help you sleep better

I received a Escape Travel Sleep Mask from Dream Essentials with free earplugs and carrying case to try out. In the past, when I travel by plane, I usually use a blanket that I stuff into my carry on (NEVER use a plane blanket – yuck!).  I’ll admit, it looks a little weird to have my face covered by the blanket, but I like the darkness and it also lets me pretend I’m not on the plane.  I hate flying.

I look forward to using the sleep mask and keeping the blanket on my lap where it belongs. I recieved the orange mask and although it’s bright, the interior is black and 100% light blocking.  Had I been able to pick my own color, I’d have likely picked something more girly.  That’s just my style.  As it is, this is a good color for either gender, so it’ll get more use.

The mask is comfortable and easy to adjust. Because of the formed eye area, the mask actually only contacts with your skin on your forehead and cheeks.  It was a little weird for me at first, but I got used to it pretty quickly.  As a woman, I like the feature as it doesn’t mess with my eye makeup.

I tried sleeping with it but as a side sleeper, it was uncomfortable. I think the mask that would be perfect for me as a sleep mask would be their  Natura Organic Sleepmask.  With the exception of the strap, it’s 100% organic and it’s made for side sleepers like me. Not sure which type of sleep mask is right for you?  No problem.  They have information to help as well as keys on each product so choosing the right sleeping solution is easy.

Dream Essentials also offers sleep masks for kids, travel masks, aroma therapy masks, and therapeutic masks as well travel accessories, pillows, and more to help you sleep better. One item I’ve been curious about for a long time is the pillow speaker.  I currently use buds because I broke my headband speaker.  I’m debating on buying another or looking for a new solution.

I’m enjoying the sleep mask and for $19.99 I think it’s a great bargain and a worthwhile purchase for any traveler. In fact, I bought a face mask for my son as a stocking stuffer for Christmas this year!  My mask will get a workout in March when I travel cross country on a red-eye flight to attend the Disney Social Media Mom’s conference in Florida.  I’m glad I have it!
