I love Valerie Bertinelli. For me she represents my childhood. I grew up watching her on TV, marveled as she married a rocker who seemed the exact opposite of her, and then was stunned to find out she’d had a drug habit. Valerie represents the new 50 to me. Long before she famously lost weight with Jenny Craig, I thought she was sweet, kind, and bubbly. Granted, since she’s lost the weight she’s all over TV, but I never base someone’s worth on the weight they are.
Today Valerie is a guest host on The View. I’m up early to be sure I catch it although I realize as I write this that those of you on the East Coast are watching her now. I look forward to seeing how she fits in with the regular hosts and how she handles chatting with former Oscar nominee and cutie Abigail Breslin. She’ll be there to talk about her Broadway show “The Miracle Worker.” I’d love to see that show! Also on today’s show is Mia Wasikowska from Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland“. This is the first movie my mom has asked me to take her to. We’re going to wait a week or so and then see the Imax version!
It should be a great show. Now, if I can just stay awake until it comes on here on the West Coast! Tomorrow is the Oscar predictions show. If you’re a fan of the Oscar’s, you’ll want to watch!
