Trix are for kids! Who hasn’t heard that slogan and smiled at the thought of it. The Trix Rabbit is a cultural icon to those of us growing up in the 70′s. He represented fun, excitement, and he fronted a cereal that came in fun colors that made fabulous rainbow colored milk! Were they nutritionally sound? We didn’t care, they were delicious.
When I became a mom, I introduced my kids to all the yummy Saturday morning cereals I’d enjoyed as a kid. I loved collecting points and sending away for toys for them – our favorite a set of beanie toys just after the Beanie Baby craze of all of the breakfast cereal mascots. I think we still have them in a box in the closets somewhere.
I’ve enjoyed reliving my teen years as well as my kids’ childhood through this General Mills promotion. Special thanks to them for allowing me to participate.
