General Mills Day 3 – Cinnamon Toast Crunch Day

Posted by Connie - February 24, 2010 - Cooking and Food, Expired Contests

I grew up on buttered toast covered in cinnamon and sugar. Actually, first it was bacon grease, reheated from a coffee can on the stove where all bacon grease was kept back then, and sugar on toast. DISGUSTING!   I still love the taste of cinnamon, sugar, and dough but my tastes now run to cinnamon rolls instead of the disgusting sugar covered toasts of my past.

My kids preferred Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I’ve eaten it without milk as a snack – it’s pretty yummy – but the boys prefer it drenched in milk.

    **********WINNING ENTRY!****************

I don’t recall what cereal, but the prize was a miniature plastic yellow submarine. When you filled the interior compartment with baking powder, the submarine would submerge, then rise to the top release an air bubble and submerge again. I remember putting the sub in our fish tank and watching it rise and fall over and over. I’m sure it freaked the fish out, but I thought it was the coolest toy ever. Ah… innocent childhood memories. Thank you for the fun give-away.
